Gimme Some Sugar Box for 10 Cards & Envelopes

Hi my crafty friends 🙂

I’m very happy with the look of this box with its flowers on the front and the fact that it holds 10 cards and their envelopes makes it a great gift to give away to family and friends.

Here are the Measurements, instructions and video:

 

Linen X5946 Box Base: 11- 3/4’ x 8-1/2’

Score on the 11-3/4’ side @ 3/4’, 5-1/4’, 6-1/2’ & 11’

Bashful card X5941 stock Box Lid: 10’ x 5-1/4’

Score on the 5-1/4’ side @ 3/4′ & 2’ on all 4 sides

Gimme Some Sugar Paper X7228B pieces: 1’ x 5-3/4’ cut 3,  1’ x 1′ cut 2

White Daisy 1385 strip: 3’ x 12’ (for stamping the flowers and leaves)

Inks: Bashful Z2189, Blossom Z2810, Tangerine Z2809 & Juniper Z2865.

Sponge Z697 Wedge for Blossom ink

Box Base:

  1. Fold and burnish all the score lines.
  2. Follow the cutting guide below.
  3. Add adhesive on the right side of the two side panels that have the top rectangle cut away from them (as this is the back of the box) as well as the two square flaps, as shown in the picture.
  4. Add adhesive to the two long and the two short 3/4′ top panels on the inside side of the box, as shown in the picture.
  5. Fold the back panel in and then fold the bottom square flap up so that it will be in the middle of the side of the box.
  6. Fold the front of the box up and meet the bottom edge and side edge to form the box.
  7. Fold in the side top section and then the front and back sections.

Box Lid:

  1. Fold and burnish all the fold lines.
  2. Follow the cutting guide below.
  3. Add adhesive to the four small flaps on the right side of the lid.
  4. Then turn the lid to the wrong side and add adhesive to the two long and two short 3/4′ sections.
  5. Adhere the paper to the three 1-1/4’ x 6’ sections, and the two small 1-1/4’ x 1-1/4’ sections.
  6. Fold the small flaps in and match them up to the cut edge of the side panels. Repeat this step to form the other corners.
  7. Place the lid on top of the box.

Stamping the Flowers:

  1. Taking the white daisy strip, stamp the larger flower in the Bashful ink then gently add some Blossom in to the middle of stamp with a sponge before you stamp it on to the white daisy card stock.
  2. Stamp the centre stamp with Tangerine ink.
  3. Repeat this step for the smaller flower as well.
  4. Stamp two of the large leaves in Juniper ink
  5. Then fussy cut them all out.
  6. Adhere the leaves to the front of the box and then add the flowers with some 3D foam dots (make sure that they sit just below the lid of the box.
